Reach for the paws dog fashion show

Dog Fashion Show

Social media has been my main point of advertising and using spotted Brightlingsea and Welcome to Brightlingsea which is used a lot for local businesses.  My dog walking and home boarding is growing well and I wanted to meet the community and for them to get to know me.  Early morning hour idea was to run a  dog fashion show.  Competition for dog photos to be sent to Reach for the paws facebook page is how it started, 65 photos were saved and voting started.  Top 10 dogs would star in the dog fashion show from my boutique range and the winning dog would get to pick and keep an outfit of their choice.  17th March 2018 was the day for me to launch the event.

To involve local businesses I invited other business owners to take part and show case their business.  A party needs a cake and balloons, search was on for a cake that dogs can eat.  I searched on twitter and found @pawtisseriehugo amazing cake produced.  Heavenly Balloons branded the balloons, I wanted people to enter a hall that would draw attention and make them feel welcomed.  Linked to the day another local dog walking business and dog trainer @georgiespawpad, and to provide food and treats @nauticalstaranimalfeeds1.  Another inspirational lady is Julie Francis who designed @babyFind.Me.UK an amazing baby dummy attached to a cuddly toy on a blanket so  your baby can find it what ever time of night.

I wanted to build a positive relationship with other businesses and especially with ladies in business and to really show that when a team of different businesses come together it can produce a very powerful message and event. The day was captured by @ashleaannphotography.  Thank You to my Dad Howard Marsh for taking photos and to my parents for supporting me on the day. A big thank you to Grace who helped out on the day a young girl who proactively contacted me to gain experience who at the age of 15 was truly amazing and great to see.  

Lady T came from Dunton greyhound  kennels and £62 was raised from the raffle for the dogs to have some support to help look after them until their forever homes arrive.  I also have had Reach for the paws candles made by Kiss Air candles and Lady T picked lemon drizzle flavour, each candle sold £1 goes to Dunton Greyhound Kennels additional £5 of early sells is going towards the raffle money.  Brenda did an amazing job with supporting the raffle ticket sales and for helping out on the day. 

Reach for the paws is a company that is supportive, trusting, caring and fun.  We look forward to sharing out journey with you and my mantra is behind every successful person is yourself and in my case Lady T as well.
